Formulating strategic plans for the development of championship sports for the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces, using the SWOT model

Abstract
The development of championship sports in each country is the background for achieving success in world and Olympic competitions.The present study aimed to formulate strategic plans for the development of championship sports of the General Directorate of Sports and Youth of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces using the SWOT model. The present study was applied and developmental in nature and, for its exploitation, was a survey type. The statistical sample was selected according to the J. Morgan table, with 80 people. Data analysis was performed using Friedman's nonparametric test at a significance level of 0.05 through SPSS statistical software. Demographic status questionnaires and a researcher-made questionnaire to examine the strategy for the development of championship sports, which had 46 items, were also used. The Cronbach's alpha of these questionnaires was reported to be 0.89 and 0.91, respectively. Considering that the strategic position of the vision document of the championship sports of the General Directorate was in the WT region. These conditions indicate the use of defensive strategies in the field of practice. From the perspective of managers and employees, the development of championship sports in the General Directorate of Sports and Youth requires the use of new technologies in the education and promotion of championship sports, the use of financial sponsors, the training of efficient and specialized human resources, the provision of opportunities for the presence of women and the disabled, the design of a comprehensive system of support for sports champions and social habits to encourage people to exercise.
